VEBO is an experience-based wedding registry with a unique charity component.
Numerous scientific studies suggest a strong correlation between happiness and giving to charity. While most wedding registries are simply about receiving gifts, VEBO offers a unique opportunity for engaged couples to use their registry as an opportunity to give to charity.
VEBO couples are able to select a charity to tie to their wedding registry. VEBO contributes 5% of the sales from the couple’s registry to the charity they have selected. Engaged couples choose between a wide range of charities that address important causes including children, education, medical, human services and the environment.
VEBO partners with great charities, including Make-A-Wish, Big Brothers Big Sisters, American Lung Association, Anchor Center for Blind Children, Denver Dumb Friends League, and Special Olympics.
After choosing a charity for their wedding registry, the couple is able to add a “why we chose” message that is sent directly to the charity. This is a great way for the couple to create a stronger connection with the charity. Friends and family who visit the couple’s VEBO profile page are able to learn about what charity is most important to the couple and the story behind their selection.
VEBO partners with any charity that is a registered 501(C)3 organization. Charities need only take ten minutes to create their free online profile and they are eligible to be selected by engaged couples. VEBO the donation to the charity shortly after the couple’s wedding.
VEBO is currently serving Colorado but will be expanding to the state of Washington in May 2017.
One of VEBO’s core values is giving back, and VEBO is proud to make a wedding donation to charity on behalf of the couple.
