Our mission is to train and support community volunteers to provide a voice in court and advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the foster care system who need safe and permanent homes. Our staff recruits, trains, and supports volunteers who directly work in the child welfare and judicial systems to make sure children’s needs are met while they are in care.

Child Advocates, Inc. (CASA of Clackamas County) became an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, independent organization in 1993. a member of the National CASA Association (NCASAA) in good standing. As such, we are required to meet standards of the NCASAA to deliver effective services through our CASA volunteers. Maintaining this designation requires an extensive assessment every four years. Additionally, we are a Local CASA Program (LCP) of the Oregon CASA Network and actively participate in sharing and implementing best practices with our peers throughout the state. Child Advocates, Inc. is the only organization in Clackamas County that provides this vital support, and our overarching goal is to serve every child who needs a CASA in Clackamas County. Since the organization’s inception, we have served more than 6,000 Clackamas County foster children.
