Cocoon House seeks to empower young people, families, and the community to break the cycle of homelessness through outreach, housing, and prevention. We envision a world where every child has a safe and stable home and the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
Cocoon House serves youth ages 12-24 through our three core programs: prevention, outreach, and housing. Our prevention program provides therapeutic phone consultations as well as family education and workshops designed to prevent teens from leaving home. Our street outreach program brings support, supplies, and referrals to teens on the street, in addition to offering drop-in access to showers, laundry, socialization, and other crucial services. Our housing program provides both emergency and long-term housing to youth who have been living on the streets or other dangerously unstable living conditions. Last year, Cocoon House served over 2,500 youth and their families through these programs.
