Washington Wildlife & Recreation Coalition

http://www.wildliferecreation.org

The Coalition brings together hundreds of nonprofits, businesses, advocates, and leaders in conservation and recreation to support public funding for conservation and recreation throughout the state. We believe our voice is strongest when it is as diverse as possible, which is why we work with diverse partners—from sporting groups like the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, to land trusts like PCC Farmland Trust, to environmental groups like The Nature Conservancy. Whether through restoring an urban wetland, building a soccer field with effective stormwater mitigation plans, protecting a critical piece of migratory elk habitat, or preserving a historic family farm, the Coalition enables Washington communities to meet the conservation, environmental, and recreation demands of their area. With today’s ever-increasing environmental and development pressures, there has never been a more pressing time to preserve and protect the natural environment and landscapes that make Washington so special, and to provide outdoor opportunities for all communities, regardless of their economic situation.
