Keteka is a marketplace where travelers can book unique, authentic tours and activities with validated local guides. While serving in the Peace Corps in rural Panama, the founders were working on community tourism projects and realized that they wanted to create a better way to connect purposeful travelers with authentic, local experiences. "Keteka" is an indigenous Panamanian word that means "to get close to" and that's our goal, to bring you closer to your destination's culture, food, people, and natural environment.
A Relaxing Trip Canoeing Down A Beautiful Belizean River.
This delightful half day trip typically starts from one of our partner resorts – which may even be your hotel – depending on your lodging. This peaceful and clean river meanders through dense jungle forests and in many spots along your trip, you’ll be the only humans for miles around. The birdwatching on this trip is excellent, so bring your binoculars. Perhaps you’ll spot a toucan, parrot, or a kingfisher. This trip ends in the town of San Ignacio and your return shuttle to your hotel or jungle lodge is included in the price.
