From early May to the first week in January, they feature daily excursions to the “Silver Queen of the Rockies,” Georgetown, CO. This railroad traces its heritage all the way back to the booming silver rush days of the 1880’s, when tons of rich minerals were freighted down the tracks through Clear Creek Canyon to the smelters of Denver.
You'll enjoy a train ride to an operational silver mine for a tour, back on the train to Georgetown where you'll have a picnic lunch in Georgetown Park. Followed by a walking tour of Georgetown. This is an 8hr door-to-door tour for all Summit County departures.
