There’s a lot of fun happening this month, kicking off with seven nights of fireworks and ending with NFL (you know it!) so check out what’s in-between!

Fourth of July Freedom Fest (July 1st - 8th)

Historic military planes with resumes including flights during World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam will fly through the skies again in a spectacle of around 30 planes.  There will be a plethora of other events as well including a foam parties, free movies (like a three-night marathon of Toy Story), tribute bands (including one to Bruno Mars), and the highlight (literal “high light”) of fireworks for the first seven nights of the month!

Manchester United vs. Club America (July 19th)

Soccer fever is high despite Team USA’s failure to qualify for the World Cup Tournament.  Keep that feeling going into late July with a match that brings Mexico’s Club America up against international favorite (and some folks’ favorite to hate) Manchester United.  The game will be held at University of Phoenix Stadium to keep you cool from the midsummer sun.

Arizona Highland Celtic Festival (July 21st – 22nd)

The Northern Arizona Celtic Heritage Society aims to increase funding for Celtic-related cultural awareness and study.  This event will have traditional music, traditional food, and crowd favorite Highlands Games activities like when they throw that huge log; that’s pretty cool.

Real Wild & Woody Indoor Beer Festival (July 28th)

65-breweries, 350-craft beers, barrel-aged and specialty casks: this is the recipe for a great beer festival!  Highly marketed as an “Indoor Beer Festival,” the Real Wild & Woody event is proud to offer Arizonans the opportunity to guzzle down heavy, flavor-forward brews in the peak of summertime (otherwise reserved for Mexican lagers) thanks to the highly air-conditioned venue of the Phoenix Convention Center.

Arizona Cardinals Training Camp 2018 (July 28th – 31st)

Speaking of futbol, the new NLF season is officially closer than the last one, which means that training camp is just around the corner.  This is your chance to see the team up close and potentially retrieve an autograph or two without dropping loads of cash.  Watch your favorite team work on their game plans, watch them test out the new rookies, and try to figure out schemes for the updated kickoff rules.

A surprising amount of major sporting events this July, which is usually full of, well, hardly any sports, but don’t miss out on the other great activities this month in Arizona.
