We believe dogs and cats deserve a chance at happiness too. We are dedicated to saving lives by pulling animals at risk for euthanasia from public shelters, meeting all of their medical needs and finding them new loving homes.
Since 1895 we have been active in the San Francisco Bay Area saving the lives of dogs and cats. We are one of the oldest and most trusted animal welfare agencies and are supported by over 500 volunteers annually. We provide medical, behavioral, nutritional, and emotional support and then, when they are ready, placing dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies with new loving families.
