The Humane Society of Central Oregon (HSCO) is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization and has served the Central Oregon region since 1961. We are the only open-door facility in Central Oregon and receive animals from throughout the region, regardless of the animal’s health or temperament. Our work promotes placing all adoptable animals, caring for stray, abused, and neglected animals, and inspiring the community to responsibly and humanely care for all animals. Annually, we take in over 2,500 animals, with a ‘Total Live Release Rate’ and ‘Return to Owner Rates’ for strays that are much higher than national averages.
