Our mission is to empower people to engage in conservation of animals and their natural habitats.
The Pueblo Zoo is a 25-acre Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) accredited zoo, home to more than 500 animals representing 125 different species. We welcome nearly 100,000 visitors each year. Our education outreach programs serve nearly every elementary school in Pueblo County, while conservation programs support global species conservation of African penguins, African painted dogs, and red pandas.
