The city itself is something of the art and culture mecca of Bolivia. There is also plenty of great food, bars and cafes and of course a night life that continues on into the twilight hours. One of the city’s nicknames is actually the culinary capital of Bolivia—that just goes to show you what you can expect here!
  • CRISTO DE LA CONCORDIA

Whether you’re religious or not, you are going to want to visit this iconic Bolivian site. A massive statue of Jesus located atop San Pedro Hill, this monument is accessible via cable car, or if you’re up for it, a 2000-step climb.

  • LA ANGOSTURA LAKE

There are several lakes around this region, however this tends to be one of the more popular ones. This is a manmade lagoon that offers a very resort kind of vibe. People come to fish, sail, swim, camp and dine in the fine restaurants surrounding the lake.

  • CITY LIFE

Considered one of the safest cities in the country, it is not uncommon to find groups of people strolling through the Plaza Principal (the city center) or down the Avenida Ballivian which features some of the area’s best hotels and restaurants.
