This area is all about eco-tourism. There are several eco-resorts from which visitors can explore the wonders of the natural world. Marble caves, volcanoes, mountains and more abound here. Definitely be prepared to stay active in Chilean Patagonia.
  • TORRES DEL PAINE

In many ways the star attraction in Patagonia, the park features glaciers, lakes, mountains and of course that to which the name refers: three granite peaks. They rise about 8000 ft above sea level and are beyond breathtaking to behold.

  • CARRETERA AUSTRAL

This is the road (Route 7) that runs through rural Patagonia. It is an extremely remote highway that leads to some of the best sites in the region. For those craving adventure this really does constitute what has been called the “ultimate road trip.”

  • SOUTHERN PATAGONIA ICE FIELD

The world’s second largest, this extra-polar ice field represents the remains of what covered southern Chilean during the last glacial age. Beneath the ice field there are two volcanoes. One of the more extreme environments in the world, this is makes for an amazing expedition.
