One of the largest cities in South America, Lima is a capital with a lot to offer for those who want to experience urban chic, as well as for those looking to scour the country’s past. Restaurants and shops abound, as do museums and cultural icons throughout the city.

    Even if you aren’t an avid shopper, Larcomar is one shopping center that you must see when in Peru; in fact, it’s one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city. It is actually built into the side of a cliff and subsequently offers amazing views of the Pacific.

    Known as something of an artsy district, Barranco gives visitors glimpses of an alternative, up and coming art scene. At night, the area comes alive with its trendy nightclubs and bars. There are also a few very cool museums and galleries to check out contemporary art.

    One of the most popular beaches closest to the capital city, San Bartolo is clean, quaint and a great place to just relax for the day as you take in the sun and listen to the surf. Plus, there are a lot of great paces to shop and eat right there.
