Keteka is a marketplace where travelers can book unique, authentic tours and activities with validated local guides. While serving in the Peace Corps in rural Panama, the founders were working on community tourism projects and realized that they wanted to create a better way to connect purposeful travelers with authentic, local experiences. "Keteka" is an indigenous Panamanian word that means "to get close to" and that's our goal, to bring you closer to your destination's culture, food, people, and natural environment.
Stay With A Host Family In The Sacred Valley Just Outside Of Cusco And See Machu Picchu From A Completely Rare View.
Off the beaten path approach to one of the 7 wonders of the world
Get to know the people and lifestyle of the region
Trip begins and ends in Cusco
This tour is perfect for those who want to see Cusco, Machu Picchu, and the Sacred Valley, and still get off the beaten path. You will have a local guide throughout your trip and will stay with a host family in Cusco, instead of one of the many overcrowded hostels or hotels. Your guide will show you the highlights of the Sacred Valley, then bring you to your host family’s village in a remote corner of the valley, where you can get to know the family, eat a home-cooked meal, and sleep in a comfortable, private room. The next day, you will visit the amazing Perollniyoc Waterfall, and nearby Incan ruins. You then continue on to Aguas Calientes and a full day at Machu Picchu.
