On this Sin and Suds Beer Tour, a guide will lead you on approximately a one and a half-mile walk through the Loop and South Loop, where you’ll learn about Chicago and beer and taste great beer over a three-hour period. You'll visit an old Capone-era haunt, a German bar (one of the oldest in the city), a blues club started by a legend, and a great craft beer bar.
Learn the basics of Chicago’s sinful history, all the way from the city’s first vice district, the “Sands,” to the infamous levy district and the associated debauchery, to Capone, Prohibition, and the mob. You will explore the basics of different beer styles and beer’s influence on criminal enterprises, especially during Prohibition. And taste several different beers, about 4 normal size beers in total, several of which are Midwestern craft beers.
