Because of its deeply ingrained mining roots, the region is known for what it can show visitors about the past. Old Dominion Mine Park captures the essence of what it was like during the later 19th century in this booming mine town.
Pinal Creek, a tributary of the Salt River, flows through the town, allowing for some terrific fishing and depending on the season, kayaking and canoeing as well. As far as the downtown scene, guests to Globe enjoy walks through the historic district, quaint shops and restaurants as well as fairly decent sized parks through which they can hike, bike or jog.
