CASTLE ROCK
THE LARGEST OUTLET MALL IN THE STATE#1
RANKED BY MONEY AS #4 BEST PLACE TO LIVE#4
DISTANCE FROM DENVER31 MILES
Castle Rock sits between Denver and Colorado Springs and it is named after the castle-shaped butte in the middle of the town. Castle Rock is known for being family friendly as it has a good education system, libraries, and plenty of park space. Castle Rock is also known to attract people who love the outdoors. It is just far enough from Denver (and Colorado Springs) that it truly has its own identity as opposed to being seen as a suburb.

Castle Rock is home to Colorado’s largest outlet mall. Shoppers drive to these outlets to pick up deals from retailers such as Levi’s, Nike, Bose, The North Face, and Under Armour.
  • PLAYING OUTDOORS

Castle Rock sits in the foothills just east of the Rocky Mountains. This setting is perfect for hiking, biking and generally experience the outdoors. Zip lining is a popular activity. A solid choice for hiking is the Rock Park Loop Trail.

  • GOLF

Castle Rock truly has world-class golfing. Most notably, the Signature Jack Nicklaus golf course at Castle Pines hosted The International, which was a PGA Tour event for 20 years. There are plenty of other options, including Red Hawk, The Sanctuary, and Plum Creek. The views on these golf courses are unreal.

  • SHOPPING

Castle Rock is rightfully known for outlet malls, but it also has great local stores and boutiques. The Barn claims to be the oldest antique store in the state. This antique mall is home to 23 shops featuring home décor, specialty gifts, and collectibles. The historic downtown area is packed with boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants. For beer drinkers, we recommend 105 West Brewing Company.
