Wimberley is an artistic and musical surprise to many. Some of the state’s best-known artists come here inspired by the gorgeous Hill Country scenery, the eclectic town vibe and the overall tranquility of the region.
Yet, it’s not all just quiet and serene; known as the Honky Tonk Hub of Texas, at night Wimberley wakes up. With many historic dance halls, (11 in total) the town invites visitors to drink, dance and have fun—old west style.
  • JACOB'S WELL

The Jacob’s Well artesian spring is a very popular Wimberley attraction. Surrounded by limestone cliffs, the spring has become a hot spot for swimming as the water temp is a constant 68 degrees. Exploring the caves here can be dangerous though and thus is only allowed by permit.

  • GLASS BLOWING

The state’s premiere hub for all things glass blowing, Wimberley Glassworks features a time-honored tradition of creating amazing custom glass items. There are live demonstrations as well as interactive tours year round.

  • ART

As noted, this is most definitely an artistic enclave. Art on 12 is the largest gallery in central Texas, while numerous studios and galleries can be found throughout the area.

THE WEATHER
