As far as the food and drink scene, given the high volume of tourists, the city is definitely prepared to cater to all. From gourmet fare to burgers and beer, they offer just about everything.
  • SKIING

More than anything else, Park City is known for offering some of the best skiing in the world. Some of the best resorts in the area include Deer Valley, Park City Mountain, and Snowbird.

  • MOUNTAIN BIKING

You might call Park City a Mountain Biker’s paradise. The International Mountain Bikers Association designated the city a Gold Ride Center. There are more than 400 miles of trails available, as well as resorts that feature mountain bike lifts.

  • SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL

The festival officially moved to Park City in 1981. Held late January, Sundance has come to be synonymous with introducing the world to some of the best independent films made. Founded by Robert Redford, Sundance is now a true gathering of the planet’s biggest stars.

  • UTAH OLYMPIC PARK

Built for the 2002 Winter Olympics, the Park consists of approximately 400 acres. Today it offers a host of year-round activities as well as serving as a designated Olympic training venue. Comet bobsledding, skiing, snowboarding, along with skating and hockey are still staples of Olympic Park.

THE WEATHER
  • If you are planning a trip to Park City, you should either target winter or summer. Winters are prime tourist season because of the skiing and January's Sundance Film Festival.

  • Spring turns into an off-season as soon as the ski resorts close. Generally speaking, you wouldn't want to visit during this time of year.

  • Summers are beautiful and a bit underrated. Summers only top out in the low 80s. It is also the dry season. Summers are fantastic for playing outside. Mountain biking is a very popular option.

  • Early fall can be nice for seeing the colors change. Late fall is a slow season as it is too warm for skiing but much too cool for typical summer activities.
